Hi, my name is Ves! I’ve been hooked on bikes since I was like 2 or 3 years old. BMX, fixed gear, cross-country racing - you name it and I’ve probably done it. Honestly, I think I rode bikes more than I even walked as a kid.

That carried on all the way until I graduated high school about 10 years ago. But then… I kind of fell out of love with it. Riding started to feel repetitive, so I sold all my bikes and moved on, thinking I’d find a new hobby to fill that gap. But something always felt missing.

I kept remembering how much fun cycling really was. And right before I sold my last bike, I tried out a steel MTB from a friend. It blew me away - big bike, but stiff and playful like a BMX. That feeling stuck with me for years.

Fast-forward, I came across a beat up 90s steel MTB for cheap, bought it, and decided to restore it. And man… the magic came rushing back. Working on that bike had me losing track of time, looking forward to it every day and excited just to finish it up and ride it around town.

One bike turned into two, then three. And when I picked up the red Cannondale, I thought, why not document the process? Maybe someone out there can relate? To remember those days of working on bikes with friends and riding carefree all day.
